Essex Study Final Report - launched in the UK at school acoustics seminar The launch of the much anticipated final report of the Essex Study which was presented at LearnSpace in Corby, UK as part of school acoustics seminar stimulating debate during Noise Action Week 2012 about a major issue that, in many cases, is still being ignored in school design. The report and more info can be found here>>> ICU room sound environment - and patient perceptions A newly published study from Sweden investigated sound level data and compare patient recollection of the sound environment during the stay. It showed that sound levels exceeded 55dB for between 70-90% of the time, in contrast to WHO recommendations.
