A new book “Silence in Schools” written by Dr. Helen E. Lees is not focusing on the absence of noise (negative silence) but experiencing positive silence where seeking and choosing silence can bring peace, joy and satisfaction.

It is also reported to increase the levels of energy once a return to action occurs. The book offers a way to understand silent practices for schooling and includes theoretical and ethical ideas to frame how silence can be incorporated into schools.
